Following is a brief description of this year's winners:
Jenny Craig, Inc.: Jenny Craig has deployed BusinessObjects Enterprise 6 for enterprise performance management. The company uses Business Objects to track, understand, and manage several areas of its business, including client progress, client loyalty, direct marketing, and financial analysis. The weight management provider uses BusinessObjects Enterprise 6 for daily reports for managers to track key performance indicators, and for analysis of customer profiles and marketing efforts. Jenny Craig began using Business Objects as its standard query, reporting and analysis solution three years ago. Two years later, the business intelligence implementation became a corporate-wide initiative when they integrated customer, financial, and marketing data. The initiative has helped the weight management provider better understand the needs of its clients, improve the performance of its business, and manage it 649 client centers worldwide.
Morgan Stanley: Morgan Stanley, a global financial services firm, has rolled out BusinessObjects Enterprise 6 to more than 14,000 users as part of its world-class CRM project to support the Individual Investor Group. With BusinessObjects Enterprise 6, knowledge has been put into the hands of the people who interact with customers - specifically the financial advisors and sales support personnel. Business Objects solutions power the Business Intelligence System (BIS) at Morgan Stanley to provide a holistic view of clients that enables the sales force to better understand and better meet the needs of their clients. For example, Morgan Stanley's financial advisers can now get a 360-degree view of each client through a menu of reports accessed via the company intranet, and sort through insightful client-centric knowledge derived often through predictive modeling. Senior management also has access to an array of summary level reports that focus on key performance areas and can be viewed at any organizational level.
Unisys: BusinessObjects Enterprise 6 is the global BI standard at Unisys, a worldwide information technology services and solutions company. Unisys boasts more than 8,000 users of BusinessObjects Enterprise 6 in more than 50 countries. Employees use Business Objects in several departments, including finance, human resources, marketing, sales, and supply chain. For example, using WebIntelligenceÒ the integrated query, reporting, and analysis solution for the web, employees in the finance department access a company-wide intranet to gather the latest information on orders, backlog, revenue per country, and per product. Managers in the supply-chain division rely on the intranet to analyze where the order is located during the shipment process, and when it will be delivered. In addition, BusinessObjects Enterprise 6 gives Unisys the power to provide the latest reports to its field sales representatives so they are on top of forecasting and the sales pipeline.
U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA): U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA): In an effort to more easily track, understand, and manage the large amounts of information available from the organization's multiple data sources, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has deployed an enterprise performance management dashboard using Business Objects solutions. The Business Objects dashboard provides fast access to financial data, and will soon provide access to environmental data. This will streamline the agency's existing reporting capabilities and provide executives with a graphical interface for analyzing key performance indicators.
